I have always had a special appreciation for well-made, beautiful & unique baby clothing. I recently came across a company called Tane Organics from New York. Not only do they use luxurious natural fibers, but the designs are beautiful with great quality and attention to detail, a combination that is rather hard to find.

Tane also truly cares about its customers. I had ordered this adorable apple cotton sweater, which feels as if it was made of cashmere, and a pair of booties for Lenox. I totally fell in love with both items, but my son’s chubby feet were too big for the one-size-fits-all version of the moccasin-style sock bootie. I wish they would have fit as they are designed to hug little ones’ feet, which is an often overlooked design feature. Most shoe-like sockies come off his little feet and don’t stay on properly, and it’s so hard to find something soft to cover an infant’s feet that is chic-er than a cute pair of socks when going out for a play date or event.

Sheree Lee, the woman behind the brand,  was the sweetest person when I called. While telling her about the sizing issue, I mentioned that her booties are such a fashionable alternative to the uncomfortable baby shoes that are not really needed before they can walk. She told me she would keep my concern in mind and possibly add a larger size for her next collection!
