I am totally in love with my new Tabitha Simmons booties! The stylist/editor turned shoe designer (and Vogue contributor) is an industry and now personal favorite of mine. She has styled catwalk shows for the likes of Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen & Zac Posen, and her shoes are pieces of art.
As mentioned in my other article, they are the perfect flat but stylish shoe to wear while schlepping around baby Lenox. They are really comfy, and a flat shoe that looks good with just about anything is a must. No matter what I wear them with, they don’t cut off my legs in a bad way to make them look shorter than they are. They come in new fun colors each season, which makes it hard not to consider buying a second pair (crazy thought!). I decided for the nude/rose color ones as I felt a neutral color was a better choice at that price. I might get more wear out of them than the gold or baby blue color they come in. It was a close decision between these and the rose-colored, studded Chloe booties, which I am loving more and more… maybe one day! (I hope my husband doesn’t read this post.)
Whichever booties you buy (both available at Barney’s NYC), they are both amazing and about the chicest casual boot you can get. I know it’s a steep price on both but if you think with how many wears you get out of them, it’s almost justified! If you are a mom, they are extra amazing for dressing up a a gray pair of skinny jeans (like the ACNE Skin 5 I recently bought) and a simple white Tee by The Row, J.Crew, or Alex Wang.
